On Wednesday night in Cannes myself, Tom Morton, Ben Malbon and Iain Tait will be hosting an antidote to the normal musical rubbish you put your ears through in Cannes. We figured there were enough people like us who would like to hear some good music and have a little dance with their friends rather than pretending to have a good time at the Massive party and hearing the Black Eyed Peas for the thirteenth time in 2 days.

So come along. Music will be Balearic Beats - what’s that you say? A good question and not one that can be answered in a simple blog post. But think Ibiza 89-91, a mix of classic house, old favourites and unexpexted songs from Chris Rea or Wham! that wouldn’t work on a windy Wednesday on Flatbush Avenue but in the sun, sea and sand of Cannes… And then anything else we think is suitable. Don’t expect any decent mixing but do expect some great music. Will it work? Fuck yeah, of course it will.

We are taking over a small bar called Le Sun 7 on Rue Dr Gerard Monod from 10-2.30. It’s a small street, one behind the Croisette in between Louis Vuitton and Dior, darling. Online map here. We will start with some chilled music and cheap beer so everyone can catch up and then hopefully descend into a Bacchanalian brute of a party.

See you there, in espadrilles.
